Birthday Bestie ("we," "us," "our") is a party-planning app operated by Z2B Marketing LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Birthday Bestie, you agree to the practices described here.
Birthday Bestie is designed to be used by parents and other adults planning a child's birthday party. It is not directed at children, and children are not expected to create accounts or interact with the app directly. Any information about a child that appears in the app (name, age, interests, and similar details) is provided to us by the parent or adult planning the party, for the purpose of generating that party's plan.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your first name, email address, and zip code.
Party details you provide. To generate curated or personalized party plans, we collect information you enter about the party and the child it's for — for example: child's name, age band, a milestone you're celebrating, interests, favorite colors, venue type and guest count, budget, and any inspiration links or images you choose to upload.
Guest information (from RSVPs). When you invite guests to a party, those guests can respond via a public link without creating an account. We collect what they enter: guest name, attendance status, headcount, and any note they include. This information is used only to help the host (you) plan the party.
Payment information. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details ourselves.
Usage information. We may collect basic technical and usage data (such as app version, device type, and general usage patterns) to keep the app working reliably.
Reviews and photos you share. If you choose to use our optional post-party photo/review feature, we collect what you submit — including any photos, your star rating, and written feedback. This is voluntary and separate from the party-planning information above.
Personalized plans, artwork, and local vendor pricing suggestions are generated using third-party AI providers. Your party details are sent to these providers solely to generate your plan; they are not used by us to identify your child publicly or to build an advertising profile of your child. Any inspiration images or links you upload are used only to extract general style and color information for your plan's artwork — we do not reproduce or redistribute the original uploaded content, and we do not knowingly generate content depicting real people from your uploads.
We share information only as needed to run the service:
Amazon product links take you to Amazon's own site to complete any purchase — we do not send your personal information to Amazon as part of showing you a product link. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how those links work.
If you submit a review or photos through our optional post-party photo/review feature and we approve it for publication, it is displayed publicly within the app and may also be posted on Birthday Bestie's website and social media channels (including Instagram and TikTok) as described in our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Birthday Bestie is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Details about a child included in a party plan are provided by the parent or guardian using the app, for the purpose of that feature only. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us at hi@birthdaybestieapp.com so we can address it.
Separately, if you choose to voluntarily submit a photo of your child through our optional post-party photo/review feature, that is a deliberate choice made by you, the parent or guardian — it is not something we solicit from or collect about a child directly. That photo is used only as described in Section 5 above, and you can request its removal at any time.
We retain party and account information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).
We use industry-standard safeguards, including Firebase's security infrastructure and access-control rules, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can access, update, or delete your account information from within the app, or by contacting us at hi@birthdaybestieapp.com. You can opt out of non-essential notifications in Settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, the right to request deletion of that information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information). We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
